« Are you fighting for the top of the world ranking with Sinner? I think being the number one seed is a good thing and it shows the fact that I played well. But I think the most important thing is the last name that appears at the end of the draw and who will still be competing in two weeks. I think this is the main goal for all the participants. I just feel like one of the 128 favorites in the draw, nothing more, » a confié Zverev en conférence de presse.
Sascha devra composer avec une forte pression
« I still think I should have won here in 2020, that hasn’t changed. Overall, of course, I feel a certain satisfaction in finally winning a Grand Slam. I think I’ve already said that a million times. But you also realize one thing: once you win one, you want to win more. You want to continue and you want to play your best tennis every time you take the court. I think I did it after Roland Garros, but not in the last two tournaments. But I feel that my game is coming back and that it is getting better with every practice. I hope I can show my best tennis here again, » a expliqué le natif de Hambourg.
« I understand what you mean, but it’s very different because I think it’s a different injury. The wrist is never easy to treat, that’s for sure. I know because my brother also had a wrist injury, and it takes time to recover from such a problem, » a-t-il expliqué.
